Restricted surveys lets you limit access to a survey so it is only visible to selected people in your organisation. This is useful when you are working on sensitive research or want to keep a project visible to a smaller group.
How restricted surveys work
By default, surveys may be visible more broadly across your workspace. Restricting a survey changes that, so only the people you invite can see the survey in the dashboard and access its questions and results.
How to restrict a survey
To restrict a survey, click Share
and select Only people I invite.
You can then choose the people in your organisation who should have access to the survey.
Once you have added them, those users will be able to view the survey questions and results. They will also receive an email letting them know they have access.
Managing access
You can add or remove people from the survey at any time if access needs to change. If you remove someone, they will no longer be able to access the survey and it will no longer appear in their survey list.
Only the survey owner can control who can see the survey.
What people with access can do
People you invite can view the survey and add comments to the draft. However, only the survey owner can edit the survey itself.
When to use restricted surveys
This can be helpful when a survey contains sensitive information, early-stage work, or research that should only be shared with a limited group until it is ready to be seen more widely.
