Purchasing a survey

How to confirm, pay for and set your Attest survey live

Updated today

After you’ve written your survey questions and chosen the audience you wish to target, you are ready to purchase your survey.

Step-by-step: how it works

  1. Go to the Review page
On the Review screen you’ll see a summary of your survey: how many questions, your audience and sample size, any routing or targeting you’ve added, and the estimated cost.

  2. Choose when your survey will go live

  • Send Now: launch immediately.

  • Schedule: schedule your survey to start at a specific date, time and timezone.
You can also make the survey recurring (for example every 1, 3 or 6 months) using the repeat options.

3. Confirm and purchase
Click Confirm & Purchase in the top right — this button won’t be active until all survey errors are fixed. You’ll then choose which credit pot to use.

You can select the credit pot you want to use and you will see the current balance in that pot and the cost of the survey. You will only be able to purchase surveys from pots you're a member of. If you need access to other pots, reach out to your Attest admin user(s), who can manage your membership of credit pots. Recurring surveys will also be taken from the pot chosen at this point.

If you don’t have credit pots set up, your Attest admin user(s) can create credit pots for your team in the Credits page, find out how, here.

4. Publish the survey
Click Publish Survey.

  • If you chose Send Now, the survey goes live right away.

  • If you chose Schedule, it’s scheduled and will launch at that time.
Once scheduled or live, you won’t be able to edit the survey anymore.

5. See live results
Once launched, you’ll be taken to the results page where you can watch the responses come in.

Notes and tips

  • Credits are deducted at purchase, whether the survey is live immediately or scheduled in the future.

  • For recurring surveys, Attest creates new drafts for future waves. The first scheduled wave goes live at the chosen time; you can edit those future drafts before they launch.

  • If your survey uses an own audience (your own customer list), credits are only deducted as responses are completed.

  • Bear in mind that using routing or display logic can affect how many overall responses you get. Find out more about display logic and responses.
